NorCalPCA - Advocacy

NorCalPCA's advocacy work focuses on supporting current, future, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers. We coordinate with local and national efforts to advocate for Peace Corps related needs including health, budgetary, and other support services.

Advocacy can take many shapes from collective email campaigns, to meeting with our elected representatives in person, or raising awareness about a variety of issues affecting volunteer service. If you are interested in getting involved with advocacy or have an idea for an event or project, please reach out to NorCalPCA's Advocacy Coordinator (Advocacy@NorCalPCA.org).

As retired California Representative Sam Farr (Colombia '64-'66) once told a group of RPCVs: "Be the squeaky wheel... or nobody pays attention." Each constituent email, tweet, and call really does make a difference!
